Among the foremost Bharatnatyam dancers, Leela Samson received her training at Kalakshetra, MAdras, under the guidance of Rukmini Devi Arundale, S.Sarada, Sarada Hoffman and Kamala Rani. Over the years, she has won wide acclain as a very sensitive interpreter of Bharatnatyam. She has also been invited to many national and international dance festivals. Her dance has been the subject of a documentary film, Sanchari.
