Shobha Gurtu recieved her intial training in Hindustani vocal music under her mother Menakabai Shirodkar of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. Later, she also recieved training from Ustaads Natthan Khan and Ghamman Khan as well as from Narayan Nath Gurtu. An exponent of light classical music, she has a wide repertoire of Thumri, Tappa and Dadra compoitions, as also Ghazals and Bhajans.Other artistes...Smt.
